CHRISTMAS DAY
1. The sun is shining down upon the land on Christmas Day.
The cockatoos screech overhead, the flame trees look so gay.
For Jesus Christ our Saviour came, a baby in the hay.
He came to save the world from sin, he came on Christmas Day.
2. The rolling waves upon the sea give surfers such delight.
The friends around the bar-b-que talk long into the night.
But don't forget our Saviour came, a baby in the hay.
He came to save the world from sin, he came on Christmas Day.
3. The wallabies and kangaroos and possums are awake.
The lambs up on the distant hill, the cattle near the lake.
For in the sky the angels sing, now hear just what they say.
How Jesus came to save the world from sin this Christmas Day.
4. The shepherds brought their gifts to him, the wise men brought theirs too.
For Jesus came at Christmas time to give us life a-new.
So come to him for he's no more that baby in the hay.
But he's our Saviour, he was born on that first Christmas Day.
